PARTY INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN & THEIR PARENTS / GUARDIANS

  • Availability?
    Parties are available at weekends and school holidays (If you would like to organise at another time, please contact the team to see what we can do). Subject to Bike Availability.
  • What’s included in a Phoenix Cycleworks party?
    Prices are based per child and include: You'll get a full-day riding session with your friends and family. Food is available to order from our on-site cafe, Breadline. Bike Hire is available if required (pre-booking mandatory) (all our bikes are well-maintained by our on-site workshop team). Helmet Hire is available (Helmets are mandatory for all riders at Phoenix Cycleworks) (Guest are free to bring their own additional protective gear, gloves etc). Additional option to have one of the Phoenix Ride Crew Guides or Coaches to lead to the party (additional Fee*) Please see the coaching tab for bookings.
  • How to book?
    Please call us on 01638 552517 and one of the team will be able to get you booked in and take payment.
  • Duration?
    The Party is as long as you would like it to be! An All-Day ride pass is included giving you extra flexibility for your arrival and departure times.
  • Supervision?
    Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) – they do not need to ride, they can spectate but must be on site at all times.
  • When to arrive?
    The Birthday Party group should arrive on site 15 minutes before their ride session. This allows enough time to get all riders checked in and bike hire and helmets sorted for everyone.
  • What to do on arrival?
    As soon as you arrive, Please check in at the bike shop, make one of the Phoenix BikePark team aware of your arrival as they will be waiting for you. They will get you all checked in and give you an induction on track usage, T's and C's, and code of conduct. Please make yourself and all the party members aware of Phoenix Cycleworks Kids Code of Conduct before hitting the trails.
  • Ride ability?
    Riders can be new to the site and riding trails but everyone taking part must be able to ride a bike unassisted and be able to stop, brake and control the bike in a safe manner.
  • Can I bring my camera / Go Pro to film my ride?
    Yes, we love seeing your photos and videos. We ask you are respectful of other riders and please note Phoenix Cycleworks takes no responsibility for any damages to cameras, phones and filming equipment.
  • What are the food options for the party?
    Once you have booked your party bikes with us, you will need to contact Breadline regarding what food you require for your party, they will handle the rest!
  • Do you offer a senior discount?
    Over 75s can ride for free all-day any day at Phoenix Cycleworks!
  • Are children welcome?
    Absolutely, everyone is welcome at Phoenix Cycleworks no matter your age or ability.
  • Do we have to wear protective armour?
    Yes 100%, helmets are mandatory, ensure that your helmet is in good shape and properly adjusted. gloves, eye protection and body armour are also highly recommended. Please check our Rider Code of Conduct here.
  • Do you offer coaching/training?
    Yes we do! We are proud to offer U16s and adult training sessions with British Cycling Level 3 coaches ranging from absolute beginners to advanced riders and those just wanting to improve their skills. Visit our coaching page for more information and to book.
  • Are beginners welcome?
    Yes, Yes and Yes! The Bike Park has been built to have something for everyone and we love welcoming beginners to our park. Areas around the site are marked as beginner, intermediate or advanced. Please make yourself aware of the site and what areas are best suited for you depending on your ride ability. Sessions during the weekend at the middle of the day are the busiest so if you would like to come when the site is quieter, we recommend the first sessions of the day or during the week.
  • Can I bring spectators?
    Spectators are allowed on site but must watch from the safety areas and are not allowed to walk around the trails. Spectators do not need to purchase a ride pass.
  • What are your opening times?
    Summer (Bike Park & Shop) – 9am – 6pm Winter (Bike Park & Shop) – 9am – 4pm
  • Can I pay when I arrive?
    Yes, you can pay in the shop when you arrive and check-in.
  • Can I turn up without booking in advance?
    You can, although we can’t guarantee availability.
  • Do you offer corporate or team building events?
    Yes, we are able to tailor group events to meet your needs no matter how big or small, head over to our groups page for more info.
  • Can my 14-year-old ride on his own?
    Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian (over 18) at all times.
  • Can I hire a bike?
    Absolutely, we have a wide range of bikes and helmets available to hire from balance bikes to jump bikes, e-bikes and a range of premium bikes to hire out for the day. If you want to guarantee a specific bike being available, we recommend booking in advance.
  • Do we need to check in on arrival?
    Yes, please come into the store with your booking confirmation. We will then give you a wrist band once we have checked you in.
  • Can I have a refund if I decide to cancel my Bike Park booking?
    Please make sure your booking is correct as we do not offer rescheduling or refunds.
  • Are all bikes online in stock?
    To the best of our knowledge, all bikes listed on the site are in stock either at our shop or at our suppliers. We recommend you give us a call to check the latest availability.
  • Can I book a birthday party?
    Of course, we would love to help you organise a birthday party to remember! Head over to our birthday parties page for more information for more info and how to book.
  • Do you have an area specifically for little riders?
    We have a small kids pump track which is great for little riders on balance bike to build their confidence and balance. We also have balance bikes available for 1hr hire.
  • What if you cancel our booking?
    Occasionally we may be require to cancel a ride session for operational or safety reasons (snow, ice, fallen trees, high winds, heavy rain etc). If this situation arises you will receive a call from one of the Phoenix Cycleworks team who will be in touch about rescheduling your ride time. Please keep an eye on our website and social media before you set off as we will always put any closures notices on there. We take no financial responsibility for any other costs incurred for these cancellations (for example travel or accommodation costs). It is important that the contact number and email address left when booking are correct so we are able to get hold of you should we need to cancel. please check our website for any cancellation notices before you set off. At times if there is no one booked for riding or training, Phoenix Cycleworks reserve the right to close.
  • Are children free?
    Under 5s are free when riding with a full-paying rider (excludes Balance Bike hire).
  • Is there on-site parking?
    There is ample free parking on-site.
