Code of Conduct

Follow the Code to Ensure a Fun and Safe Experience for All Riders:

The safety and enjoyment of all riders are paramount at Phoenix Bike Park. By adhering to the following code, you help create a positive atmosphere for everyone.

We Reserve the Right to Remove or Ban Riders for Breaches of the Conduct & Responsibility Code:

Phoenix Cycleworks maintains the right to remove or permanently ban riders from the park if they breach any part of the conduct or responsibility code outlined here.

Avoid Riding Alone If Possible:

It’s safer and more enjoyable to ride with others. Riding in groups allows for support and help in case of an emergency.

Stay in Control at All Times:

It is your responsibility to stay in control of your bike and avoid crashing into other riders or obstacles on the trails. Ensure that you are riding within your ability.

Be Respectful and Aware of Other Riders' Varying Skill Levels:

There are riders of all abilities at the park. Be considerate and aware of the skill levels of those around you, adjusting your riding to avoid hazards for others.

Do Not Stop on the Trails:

f you need to stop for any reason, always pull off the trail in a safe place to allow others to pass without obstruction. Never push back up a trail.

Respect the Varying Difficulty of the Trails:

Our trails are graded according to difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Start on trails suitable for your skill level and avoid trails that exceed your current ability.

Even If You’ve Ridden a Trail Before, Be Careful:

We continuously make improvements to the trails and features, so they may have changed since your last visit. Always be cautious, even on familiar trails.

Trail Conditions Change with the Seasons and Weather:

Mountain biking is an all-weather sport, but you must respect the additional challenges and risks posed by weather conditions such as rain, ice, mud, dust, and wind.

Always Carry a Mobile Phone with an ICE (In Case of Emergency) Number:

Be prepared for emergencies by carrying a phone with an emergency contact number saved.

If a Rider Is Hurt, Do Not Move Them:

Notify Phoenix Bike Park staff immediately by calling 01638 552 517 or call 999 in case of a medical emergency. Close the trail by placing their bike upside down well in advance of the incident to warn others. If the injured person is able to, without assistance, you can ask them to move to a safer and more comfortable place. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON. Contact a staff member, and a qualified first aider will be sent to the scene.

Keep Off Closed Trails and Obey All Signs and Warnings:

For your safety, stay off trails that are marked as closed and adhere to all posted signs and warnings. If found disobeying this, we reserve the right to permanently ban the individual for any damages caused.

Stay on Marked Trails Only:

Do not cut switchbacks or modify any trails. Always stick to marked trails to maintain safety and prevent damage to the park.

Only Ride During Opening Hours:

It is an offence to use the trails outside of the park’s official operating hours. Riding after hours is strictly prohibited.

Do Not Ride If Your Ability Is Impaired by Drugs or Alcohol:

Under the influence of drugs or alcohol, your ability to ride safely is compromised. Do not ride if you are impaired.

Be Friendly, Courteous, and Respectful to Fellow Riders:

Treat other riders with kindness and respect. Poor conduct, including aggressive behaviour or disregard for others, will not be tolerated.

Riders 16 Years of Age and Under Must Be Accompanied by a Legal Guardian (Over 18):

Minors must always have an adult guardian (over 18) with them on the trails. This ensures supervision and safety at all times. Please read the Under 16's Code of Conduct

All Riders MUST SIGN IN on Arrival and Display a Valid Band on Their Handlebars or Wrist at All Times:

Ensure that your rider band is visible on your handlebars at all times. Expired bands must be removed and replaced with a valid one.

Help Maintain the Bike Park:

If you spot any issues with the trails or facilities, report them to the staff. Help us keep the park safe and well-maintained.

Know Your Limits:

Mountain biking is a physically demanding sport. Always know your limits and do not attempt trails or features beyond your skill level. Progress at your own pace to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

By following these guidelines, you help make Phoenix Bike Park a safer and more enjoyable place for everyone. We thank you for your cooperation!
